El Gouna

Situated north of Hurghada, El Gouna is undoubtedly the best destination on the Red Sea coast, ideal for lovers of water sports.

With its 10,000 inhabitants, El Gouna is truly a multicultural community like nowhere else in Egypt. All nationalities meet here, and the atmosphere is a charming mix of East and West. You will hear all languages spoken, but everyone mainly speaks English. As a result, women have no problem walking alone or in very summery type clothes!

Stretching over more than 10 km along the Red Sea coast, El Gouna, also known as "The Egyptian Venice", including no less than twenty islands in the middle of peaceful lagoons, connected to each other by picturesque bridges. The city, which has been awarded several architectural prizes throughout the world, presents an architecture with multiple influences: Nubian with its dome-shaped roofs, Greek or oriental, with its arches that give the city a unique and colorful atmosphere. Very well maintained, the city can claim to be the first city in the country to be concerned about environmental causes, with selective waste sorting, wastewater recycling, etc....

 

El Gouna is a private city with its own security service. Thus, you will find guards all over the city, which guarantees a very reassuring climate.

It is by far the dream destination for water sports lovers, with its still wild beaches and many schools for kitesurfing, diving and other activities: golf, horse riding, quad biking, karting... There is a lot to do in El Gouna.

With a lively marina and bustling town center, many bars and restaurants, it is also very pleasant to stroll around the city and stop on the terrace to drink mint tea or smoke a hookah pipe. Nightlife is worth a visit, with its open-air discos where DJs from all over the world come to set the dance floors on fire.
